My wife and I had a great experience at The Lumiere. The location is amazing, right down by the water and a five minute walk to the arch. The rooms were large and clean, well the bathtub was a little dingy but not bad. The staff was very friendly. Sunny, the Hotel bartender was great. He made great drinks and i think he said he does magic too

For it to be a 4 star hotel it's not in my opinion. The hot water in my room was cold. I didn't like how the outlets was on the lamps to charge your electronics. That didn't charge my phone. There was only one outlet in the room an the clock was plugged into it. The TV an lamp was wired into the wall. Asked for extra towels took them 3 hours had to go to the front desk an get them No microwave in the room. There was no ironing board and the iron cord would not track out. I thought the lobby was gorgeous. The rooms were nice.

My family and I wanted to have a nice evening out. We had always enjoyed the buffet in the past. This time was very disappointing to say the least. I had bragged to my cousin who was visiting how great the buffet was. There were 5 of us for dinner, we ended up waiting 45 minutes to be seated, then when we were seated they had us sit at a table meant for 4. The food was less than impressive and definitely not worth the $160 we had to pay for it. It was a $10-$15 per person buffet at best. A lot of employees just standing around when tables could have been cleared, or dishes picked up rather than stacked in piles. The spoons on the buffet were so hot that it was hard to hang onto them to while dishing up food. Unless there are major improvements we don't plan to come back.

I did NOT have a good stay at this hotel. I do NOT recommend this hotel. The staff in the hotel was not friendly. The bell man ran into me with the luggage cart. He didn't apologize. He just looked at me and said, "Are you just going to stand there"? I said yes, I'm trying to get into my room. Then he realized that he passed up the guest room that he was supposed to take the cart to. In my room, the bathroom door didn't lock. The room was very dusty. My room wasn't clean. I asked for a bed cot, they didn't bring it up when i asked. I called again, then they brought up a cot that was nasty with stains. Looks like they got it from an alley. I told the staff about it and they say they would bring up another but they didn't. I asked the staff a few times to bring up more bath towels. Took them a long time to bring up towels. They seem to be under staffed. The lines were very long when checking in. My key card stop working for my room, so i had to go get another card. I will not be back to this hotel.

The Lumire Casino is easily the nicest casino I've been to outside of Vegas. They have a huge floor full of tons of table games, including some that I don't often see, along with more slot machines than you can shake a big stick at. I've both won and lost in different trips to the casino but always had a fun time with friendly and personable table dealers and lots of action to see. There are also plenty of wonderful smelling restaurant options though I must say I've never stayed long enough to enjoy a meal at any of them. The Lumire is a great addition to St. Louis and we love stopping in during frequent visits to the city for Cardinals games.
