I read many reviews about this place and they were not very positive, but we took chance and for most part (the sink for leaking), it was decent and served our porpoise. We use just to sleep, so I wasn't looking for fancy place. Plus it was close enough to get to arch by foot. Also the owner was so nice, he let us park the car when we went to watch fireworks, eventhough we already checked out! Saved us on additional parking!
The hotel has the ultimate double-edge location. The good news is it's right off the highway and practically next door to Lumiere Place. The bad news is it's about 10 feet off the highway in a busy area so the road noise is constant. Rooms were very nice inside, though the elevator was out so getting there was a little more difficult with bags. A very comfortable bed with firm pillows lead to a better night's sleep than most other hotels I've stayed in. The check-in attendant was super knowledgeable and very nice. Overall, not bad, but I might look a little harder for a cheap hotel next time just because of location.
Very nice people run the place and the room was nice don't let the outside bother u. Access 2 all of downtown and Busch stadium without the high price of the big name hotels. Also across the street from a casino and a 15 minute walk 2 the Arch.
The location is awful. It's across from the casino but if you were looking for a cheap hotel to go downtown, like I was, then look away. To get to the Busch stadium area, you have to walk under an over pass fulled with homeless people begging for money. We took an uber back at night to stay safe. Even then the motel was scary enough. The staff was nice. The room was surprisingly clean, but smelled very funny. The mattress was uncomfortable and springy. I would never stay here again, but it's not bad if you need a last minute cheap room.
Cheap, and you get what you pay for. Lock on door appeared to be kicked in at one point. Beds were uncomfortable and didn't have a comforter. Just as well, because it likely would have been as dirty as the decorative cloth at the foot of the bed. Seems like a shady place. Was asked if I "liked to party" by a seemingly friendly guy in a suspicious spelling car. I declined and drove away quickly. Wouldn't recommend the motel. My advice would be to not stay downtown, and find an Airbnb or cheaper hotel in the Forest Park or Hill district.
