This was our first experience and our last. We are currently seeing a different local vet in the area, but I called to make an appointment for a rabbies shot. I called to make an appointment a week in advance and asked very specific questions to the representative about the shot. On the day of the appointment, I had to leave work early, and rush to clinic. Upon review of my dogs medical record, they refused to give her the shot. The previous vaccinations were too close together, even though I specifically asked before I made the appointment. Their excuse was that the customer service representatives are not medically trained... This issue needs to be fixed before I ever think about returning and wasting my time or money.
This place is awesome. We brought our adopted lab in for the first time and from a past experience with him we were dreading it as he gets hyperactive. He got his nails trimmed and all the employees were kind as could be. Definitely made the right decision.
This is the least compassionate group of people Ive ever dealt with. Aside from two (Dani and Dr. Bedow), everyone was pretty ignorant to the fact that my dog was critically ill, walking around cracking jokes with each other within earshot. I realize you can have fun at work, but consider your surroundings. My dog was hospitalized for 48 hours and septic. Touch and go the whole time. I visited him 2-3 times a day, not wanting him to deal with the added stress of thinking hed been abandoned. All but 1 time I visited (the one when Dani helped me), I felt like I was annoying the staff with my presence and any questions I had. Once Dani helped me, I realized how little quantifiable information the others were giving me- for instance low blood pressure has a different connotation than blood pressure too low to get a reading. On one visit, I brought a blanket from home (his favorite blanket) because it smelled like my son. They threw it in the washer. On another visit, I pointed to a bag and asked are these the antibiotics? and two staff members shrugged and said theyd just gotten there. On my last visit, I had to point out that it looked like he was having trouble breathing- dont you people monitor critically ill animals? Only then did they decide to do an x-ray, and found fluid in his abdomen and on his lungs. Then Im told theres nothing more they can do.When I FINALLY get the courage to say its time, they come in with paperwork to sign & costs for cremation. I give them a card- I have the amount for this, but not the full bill, as Ive made arrangements to get that amount but this happened so quickly I havent received it yet. She says okay and leaves with my card. Several minutes later, as Im spending what I believe to be my last moments with my dog, she returns to say I was mistaken and explain that if the full balance cant be paid RIGHT NOW, they will hold my dog IN A REFRIGERATOR for 10 days until I can pay in full so he can be cremated. What do you do with the animals whose owners cant, I ask. They send them away for communal cremation, and their owners get nothing.Needless to say, I am disgusted at their treatment of these animals remains, and cannot stand the thought of my baby locked in a refrigerator like a piece of meat. I need a minute, so I go outside to discuss options with a friend. She WATCHES ME through the window at the front desk. When I calm down enough to do what I have to for my baby, I return inside. He passed peacefully in my arms, but I will NEVER forgive this place for making this experience harder on both of us than it needed to be. They lack compassion, and clearly our family members are treated without dignity and mean nothing more to them than a paycheck, as much as they may try to project otherwise.
I wish I could give less than 1 Star. Our visit lasted less than 10 minutes and the charge was $75. The doctor walked in, looked at my puppy laying on the table, and listened to her belly. Said we should take her to a specialist. Thats it. That will be $75 please. Next! Save your money and time and take your animals to your regular vet. Not worth it.
I recently made a visit with my dog Bruno. I was truly unaware of exactly what happened whether it was a bite and from what or what kind of treatment he needed. Frankly, I was really overwhelmed with what had happened to him and how he was falling apart in front of me or so fast. Everyone I encountered was extremely kind, calm, and knowledgeable to the point in which I was slowly able to rebound from what I was making out to be a traumatic experience. I truly appreciate the doctor and the staff for helping my dog bounce back. After 2 days the swelling around his body has drastically reduced and he is almost back to normal. Thank you!
