The manager named Josh will personally make sure you have a horrible experience at this location. He has clearly been working in customer service too long. He genuinely seems to enjoy being a hindrance to the customer. He clearly resents his job and the customers who use this location. Uhaul needs to get spend time reviewing their employees and training them to provide customer service.
Disgusted by how this place treats customers, let alone a veteran. Did not have my parts for 2 different hitch installation appointments. Ive tried to remain calm, but now I bring in my vehicle after working with the company president, who himself fixed the parts issue, and they tell me it may be ready by 6pm and its drop off only today! You would think they would get right on it after having to fix issues twice, nope!! Now Im sitting here with no transportation. Poor customer service!
I had a terrible experience with this location. I rented a trailer and a hitch from the company. I couldn't get anyone to install the hitch for me despite going there daily. On the day of my move I went to another location( downtown) to install my hitch. They didn't have time to install the lights so I came back to get them done at S kingshigway location. They installed the lights but they couldn't get them to work after 30 mins. Then they told me my hitch was too small for the trailer and asked me where I got it from. I GOT it from uhaul! This was what was recommended to me after I placed my car and trailer information on their website. So I spent 6 hrs there while my moving guys are waiting at my apartment complex to move my stuff and charging for doing nothing. I finally got a truck and autotransport which cost me double.now I have a 500 dollar hitch that I don't need and can't use. Complained to them but never spoke to anyone on the location even though it has been a month. Manager seemed nice in person said he would take care of it but I guess he was just trying to get rid of me.
I rented a U-haul truck for an interstate move and reserved an 8 x 11 foot storage shed to hold the contents of my 1 bedroom apartment for the summer. Despite giving the company my credit card number on three separate occasions (#1 for the truck, #2 for the original storage shed, and #3 for a larger storage shed) I received a delinquincy form at an old addresss which then got forwarded along and a $22 delinquincy fee. When I called about this, it even turned out they had my card number already saved in the system (I didnt have to give them my number). Why are you saving my card information if youre not using it for auto pay?!?I dont appreciate that despite the fact Ive paid this company hundreds of dollars (if not $1,000) this summer, theyre looking for any way to take additional money from me. Uhaul, I accepted the fact I wasnt able to leave my truck at the same location as my storage shed. While it was frustrating to drive across the city to another Uhaul despite the fact I drove 6 hours just to move my stuff I understood. But cmon, this isnt right. Im looking for a new apartment ASAP, and Ill be sure to look into other moving companies from here on out.
The unit that I rented was broken into due to office error and had multiple TVs stolen. Uhaul was completely ambivalent to my concerns and did absolutely nothing to remedy my situation. I do not trust this place whatsoever and truly think there's something fishy going on within the building (i.e. they target college students and steal their stuff).ALSO I KNOW MULTIPLE PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD THINGS STOLEN FROM THEIR UNITS!
