Food was good, atmosphere has changed and become more casual, which is fine but our server was aloof and I felt rushed and ignored. Had to stop her to ask for a glass of wine and then was presented with our check before we were even ready. Would go back but never with that server.
One of my favorite restaurants in STL. The food is exceptional and the service is always very good. The relatively new younger chef they have looks to be taking this place to the next level. The plan is to come here for my wife's birthday celebration and I cant wait as the experience for both of us will be fantastic. Always a good time.
Trattoria Marcella has great food. The ambience is a cozy, but it feels slightly dated in design. Some seats near high traffic areas can affect your dining experience. The muscle pot appetizer is fantastic and definitely worth it. My wife loves the flash fried spinach that comes under the calamari. The calamari is good, but the portion is a little small. I have had their pizzas which are tasty, but also a little small for the price. I try the specials frequently and an rarely disappointed. Most of the entrees are able in size and really good too. I really enjoy going here.
This place is great! Mike, our server was excellent! His recommendations were top notch. I had the Halibut and loved every bite. I thought it was classy that the owner made a point to introduce himself to his customers. I will definitely go back and plan on recommending this place to everyone!!!!
Haven't been here in decades but the food was still good (my risotto entre only had 2 pieces of lobster ) and the service and atmosphere was excellent.
