Radiology dept on 6th floor across from suite A needs an Attendant. While there with my sister I was saddened by the number of patients who came in and needed assistance with changing into a gown. Some were elderly and alone. One woman could not lift her arms, another didn't have finger dexterity to tie the straps in back. I ended up assisting 4 different patients in that dressing room whom I did not know. With all of the money Washington University has they can surely hire a few people as attendants in this area. They just send people back with little direction and no assistance. Where is the compassion? These are people who are worried, afraid, stressed and often confussed dealing with an illness. Wash U do better!

Could not have asked for a better experience. Going into my first surgery I thought there was no way I would have a great experience because of their size. I was wrong they made me feel as I was the only patient they had

The dr an staff treated me so very well I enjoyed being there today they were extremely nice too me looking forward too going back an dr lathrop if I spelled his named right lol my bad was just the sweetest guy u will ever meet an Theresa an the lady that helped me picked my glasses was a sweetheart

In addition to not being able to provide services on an urgent basis (first available appointment was 5 days after the initial call), we used the Outpatient Laboratory facility because we have BJC Healthcare's insurance, which reduces the cost for us greatly. Apparently though, the cost benefit may be outweighed by the poor service provided (if we'd done it at the doctor's office, with a provider not covered as well, the result would have been given to them in hours). The facility was told precisely and clearly to send the result of my ultrasound to my primary care physician (which should always be the procedure automatically anyway, but since the initial order was from an urgent care facility, I made sure to clarify the point), and that it was needed urgently (due to severe symptoms and extremely abnormal test results). Now, almost 8 days later, my primary care physician still has received no results. If you have urgent needs for high quality care without the ball being dropped and causing significant, health-threatening delays, this is not the right facility for you. I pray that this poor review will motivate avoidance of this provider, ultimately resulting in improvement for potential future patients if they are able to make corrections in time.

I saw a physician in the orthopedic office on June 6th who was going to refer me to pain management. They were using the new system and clueless on what to do. I was told it would take several weeks for pain management too contact me back. I never heard from them and I contacted the orthopedic office who informed me they were told in correctly on how to send the referral and would immediately send it. However, I again never heard from Pain Management. re-contacted the orthopedic office and never received a call back. I then called pain management who informed me that their office was sending it to the wrong address in their system. I was told to call Orthopedics which I have left another message. For a Medical Institution that is supposed to be renowned its medical care has failed me. Whomever was responsible for the training and implementation of the new system and everyone should be held accountable for its lack of training and impact on poor patient communication and care!
