Have been going here all my life, it's a lot safer for kids now that there is a fence along the top of the bluff. I remember walking down a staircase "angel stairs" I think it was called back in the 70's. I haven't seen mention of the lower parking area directly by the bank of the river. Will go check to see if it's still open. The tow boats use the area as a fleeting zone. Great view of the bust st Louis harbor.
It was a good day to have a picnic and let my 2 play in the park. We were the only ones in the park for about 2 hours. The grass needed cutting but the ambiance was awesome.
It was a very good night all around - this was my 1st time there I'll deffinately be back :)
Nice place to walk and stand and look at river. At time was there which was about 2 hours.
Could be so much better. Trash isn't in the bin. It is all over the grass by each sitting spot. There was beer liquor and glass. Truly reflects the mind state of the park's more frequent guests. The view of the river is great, however.
