It's a nice park but..I be so paranoid at this park! I mean it is known to have shootings in broad daylight! Sundays are packed with people hanging out mostly young crowd. Nice park for the kids & nice B Ball court. I stay for a short while then go before anything can happen!
I am glad they have this for the community.... Be careful when organizing a party here though. Get EVERYTHING in writing. Their employees are severely misinformed and a very intimate occasion can be ruined. I attended a milestone Bday party for a 2 year old (imagine how many babies were there), the person told them that the splash portion of the pool would be open for the babies so they paid and booked the party only to arrive and the splash pool was inoperable. What is there for babies to do at a pool when their portion is shut off? Only the older kids could really enjoy the pool. Sad and unprofessional of them not to inform the party goers as soon as possible. Not only that, the party room trash was full, there were balloons from a previous party still there, and dirty dishes in the sink. I will not be throwing a party here unless big changes occur. It is sad for people in the community with no other alternative. They deserve better.
Attended the Taste Of Africa Stl hosted by 21st Ward Alderman John Muhammed and Urban 21. Had such a great time and cant wait for more events at the park .#NewNorth
For the most part, staff are helpful and courteous. Great facility for bettering your health/well-being or a safe healthy play to meet and socialize. Alot of older people inspire me to get my s^*t together because they visit and utilize the opportunities/programs offered free at the facility. Need to advertise employment opportunities in a more expanded method. Ex. They need more lifeguards as we speak!!!
Very large well kept park with a pond. Visible rangers, nice playground equipment and plenty of benches. It could use a walking trail or if they have a trail more visible signage would be helpful.
