We purchased a dinette set for our sun room. Their prices were reasonable. It arrived when they said it would. No complaints.
If I could give less than 1 star I would. I do not normally leave reviews, but my experience here has been so awful I want to warn others about them. I ordered a picture and a table and chairs from them. From the time I placed my order they did inform me that the chairs were on back order for 2 months, but assured me that the table and picture would be available for delivery in the next week. Fast forward 1 week and I get a call from this store (responsible for delivering my order) and they inform me that now my table is not available for another 2 months. The woman I spoke to tried to resist delivering my picture until then too, until I threatened to cancel my order, and only then did she agree to arrange a separate delivery for my picture. The day my picture is supposed to be delivered I unfortunately had some problems with my phone not accepting calls, so I missed the delivery - not their fault of course, but I did call them back right away to apologize for missing the delivery guys and try to arrange another time. I spoke to a man named Kelly and he assured me they could deliver the picture on the following Saturday, and that I should expect a call the Thursday before that with the 2 hour window of time they'd be there. Fast forward to Thursday evening, I never received a call from them with that window of time, so I called and spoke to Sharon I believe, and she told me that not only was there no record of my new delivery date, but that they never had my picture in the first place. There was simply no record of it having been in the warehouse. I tried explaining that I spoke to Kelly and he assured me the picture would delivered on Saturday and since they had previously tried to deliver the picture, it had to be in stock and that this must all just be a miscommunication with the warehouse. She kept telling me my picture was not there. At this point, I was extremely frustrated with everything so I asked to speak to the manager. She told me he was busy with a new employee and would have to call me back. I told her I was upset about all of this and needed a call back to resolve this that same day and she guaranteed me on the phone that he would call me back the same day. No surprise, no phone call. Not even the next day. So I've decided I've just had enough and have cancelled the entire order. I'll just go somewhere else from now on. Like I said, I do not normally leave reviews, even if I have a bad experience, but my experience with this store and the horrible customer service I have repeatedly received is enough to warrant this review. Needless to say I will NEVER shop with VCF again. I would advise others to be wary of this store. On the positive side, I ordered my items at the St. Ann store, and they were actually really great!
I have a great experience everytime I go there. Ms Ann is an awesome sales woman. See her when you go there. She goes above and beyond to assist you.
So I decided to come back and re-review the experience That I had at Value City because I think its a perfect example of how Important it is to have professional, and courteous staff that overall put the customer FIRST! I posted a Not so nice review last week regarding a furniture set I decided to finance through their financial company Credit Acceptance Now..make a long story short wasnt happy with service that(finance) company provides not necessarily the product so I decided to return the merchandise. As expected I got a little bit of the run around, which was upsetting when in reality Im just a customer unhappy with a service. I was looking into some legal options when I got a phone call from Andy with Value City Management. Andy was VERY pleasant to speak with.. he listened as I told him my experience and he immediately went into how he can make it right for me!! He had a very professional demeanor and attitude towards the situation and I could tell this was someone who heard me and valued me as a consumer! I was immediately put at ease that my situation would be handled and that my future business would be valued..which is the reason I will now consider doing business with Value City again. Andy is a asset to this company and a perfect example of how all it takes is one person to make a customer experience A positive one!!
About three weeks my back and fourth fight with value city started. Three weeks ago I have visited Chippewa store and my mother in law bough queen size bedroom set. They told us it would be ready in few days and it sure was not. After few days they called me to tell me its not ready. Well week and half passsed by and my mother decided to get furniture as well at Value Ciry. She purchased king size bed with two night stands and dresser. Both my mother in law and mother applied for value city credit card. Long story short they have sent my mother in law information for my own mothers order and on my mothers receipt they had her stuff shipped to my mother in laws address and had all her information on that receipt. This is major violation of privacy. They have released wrong information to both ladies good thing these two ladies knew one another. But what if your information was release to some stranger with your address and your phone number and they happen to be walking around with unstable mind and decide to pay you a visit.! Stuff like that happens with your name address and phone number many identity thefts occur. By far I have to say the most unprofessional staff and they are in volatile of ethic and costumer privacy.
