Wow...when I went into the store I didn't really know much but when I left I felt like I let with a little knowledge. The staff there is really helpful and really seems to care about the customers. Would recommend to anyone that wants good paint and good advice.
Was just told by retailer he was too busy to help me decide on paints...there wasn't anyone in the store besides myself.
Was working on the qdoba rooftop next door. I noticed a big issue with their rooftop unit and the guy answering the phone basically ignored my warning that they needed a repair guy asap....they're going to be mad when there's no A.C. bc they didn't listen
Have what i need, calling ahead to order helps. Staff is friendly.
I was in this store located at 6717 Clayton Rd, St. Louis, MO 63117 from between 10:40 AM to about 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 14th, 2018. The contractor who is to paint my home next week only buys PPG Pittsburgh Paint which is the only reason I came in. This is also why I was looking for colors that were from other retailers.First and foremost I was treated extremely rudely by who appeared to be the only employee there who clearly did not give a d&*# about me or what brought me into the store. To start off he did not say one word to me when I walked in. Instead he simply walked to the computer at the counter when until after approximately two minutes later, while still looking at the monitor, he finally spoke to me - whats your phone number? After this I explained that I wanted four samples to take home only one of which was a PPG Pittsburgh Paint color/product. Regarding the other three non-Pittsburg items I came in prepared with samples of two of them and information on the third color I had information that could be looked up.This unpleasant man was about as clear as mud to me when explaining what the options/procedures were to obtain samples of the three non-Pittsburg items. When he clearly saw I was confused he gave me absolutely no opportunity to speak up to ask for clarification. Alternately I was not given an opportunity to clarify myself in the event I was the one confusing him.Instead he walked over to the color samples on the wall and made me stand there watching feeling absolutely foolish for several minutes while he looked for color samples that might match. If this is what I had come in for I would have done it by myself and not have asked for assistance in the first place. In the event this man ever makes the excuse to a supervisor(s) that 'if I was rude to this guy than why did he still spend his money here?' I will admit that after this I waited to buy the $6.00 quart of the one PPG Pittsburgh Paint color I needed (Lilac Breeze PPG 1248 -4) and walked out. I really, really wish now that I had not bothered. Maybe at least I left him with an ominous feeling about me and what had just transpired. In conclusion regarding my contractor with the preexisting relationship with PPG Pittsburgh Paint I hope he reconsiders his needs after I tell him about this. Also I suspect for years to come when people tell me they are painting either their home or business I will tell this story to them verbatim so customers know they can avoid PPG Pittsburgh Paint (and on a related note the retailer Menards which carries the Pittsburgh paint line) altogether. I also forwarded a copy of this message to their corporate office asking them to contact me in person to discuss this man further. This message also went to Mernards corporate division as well.Thank you
