Thank you Sugar Spa for a great beginning to my day! LaWanda gave me the full treatment for a full hour-my skin felt wonderful. This is my second time visiting your establishment- enjoyed both times. I will be back, not a threat, a promise!
The first time I went I had Linda and she was very friendly and did a great job. She explained and went over everything. No Ingrowns and all hair removed and it lasted awhile which was nice. Slightly uncomfortable pain wise but nothing I couldnt handle. I went back this month but Linda wasnt available the day I went, so I had LaWonda who was also very nice and friendly. Unfortunately it seemed like she had a hard time with the sugaring. I have a high pain tolerance but this was very painful and she could barely pull the wax off. A lot of hairs were left unremoved and my armpits were slightly bruised in some areas and I got a very badly infected ingrown hair afterwards. To the point I cant wear tank tops right now. I would go back probably but only if Linda was available.
I debated giving a fourth star... Found this place on Groupon. Great value, but the everyday prices will prevent me from going back. I'm not going to sugar coat it... Hair removal hurts. I would say the application of the sugar is more painful than wax, but the removal is a little better. it's been 5days and I'm already noticing hair that's about as long as what my clippers leave without any pain and at a much lower cost.
I used to shave occasionally but hated ingrown hair and irritation. I was too afraid to wax for the pain. Heard about sugaring and tried it for the first time. I'm a believer and will definitely be back. On top of the end result it is a very nice & clean place with a calming Zen like ambience. Very nice young lady. You have a new customer!
Extremely rude I did not even get a chance to go! The appointment times disappear fast so I scheduled way in advance for a friend and I but because I booked both under my name she cancelled my appointment which was for our birthdays!! No one ever answered the phone I was only able to correspond through text and she was so unconcerned and rude then had the audacity to ask if I were making a doctor appointment for my friend would I make it under my name REALLY ma'm this is a SPA friends makes spa appointments for friends all the time so not the same! because of her attitude I did not even feel comfortable keeping my appointment so sad customer service is at an all time low!!!FYI: My text messages show out of order so she was rude and brought up the doctor's office as an example first!!
