Definitely the best running store in the St. Louis area. Being a somewhat experienced runner, it was a relief that they understood the needs of high mileage athletes and track/cross country runners. Not only do they offer training shoes, but they offer cross country spikes in season and track spikes in season. Another good aspect was the variety of brands. I've seen some stores that stay away from some brands, but they offer Nike, Brooks, Adidas, and other major running companies. Along with shoes, they have running gear and clothes. To top it all off, the staff was incredibly friendly. 10/10
I was very pleased with the service I received from Big River Running Company as I purchased my first pair of Hoka shoes. The sales person took the time to make sure that the shoe was right for me and cut no corners. Furthermore, on a follow up visit I received the same professional service from two other sales associates.
Had an excellent experience the South City Store and especially with Kara who assisted my mom (86) in fitting a good pair of walking shoes to feet with challenges. She was so kind, professional and patient and found several options that could have worked. My mom was most pleased and satisfied that she had such good service, to say nothing of how much she liked her shoes. Way to help all kinds of people moving! A good pair of shoes really helps seniors stay on the move.
I walked into Big River Running Co. thinking I needed something, and walked out with something completely different. After listening to details of my problems, the employee knew exactly what could help me and what was happening. He was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I was impressed with his willingness to explain the science behind the issue I was having and the patience while explaining how to use the products to alleviate the pain. He could have sold me something that I didn't needed, but didn't and I'm already starting to see progress. Thank you!
Ben helped my husband and I find the most comfortable shoes. Both employees in there were extremely friendly and made us feel welcomed. Ben was very knowledgeable and helped us find the right fit. He measured our feet and asked us questions then returned with several options. He was patient with us, as we had no idea what we were looking for. I am so happy that we decided to go there instead of a box store type of place. I also felt that the price was very fair. We will be back!
