We were very pleased with McGuire Moving services for our out of state move. Their crews and driver were energetic, polite, hard working, and good communicators. The pre-move estimators were accurate as far weights and measures. While we did the packing, they helped supply boxes and packing supplies as well as helpful instructions on how to pack our dishware and fragile items properly for safe transport. We were impressed with the driver's commitment and attention to detail with the loading and unloading of our possessions. And while everything in a move is never perfect, McGuire overcame some minor challenges with ease and delivered on their promises. We found their rates, charges, and fees extremely competitive. And we enjoyed doing business with a local Stl company and working with the owner of the company for our relocation and moving needs.
Very grumpy when answering the phone. Wasn't friendly.. sounded like I was bothering her. I will not be calling again to try and use them.
This place was awesome, I was helped personally by one of the McGuires, Josh was personable, helpful, kind, and listened to my requests, and called my cell to see how the job was going as it was taking place... The movers were awesome and helpful and I Tipped them accordingly ( although it was certainly not expected) by them............ SIMPLY, MY BEST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD!! NOTE * I HAVE MOVED A LOT !!! I WILL USE THEM AGAIN , AND RECOMMEND THEM TO EVERYONE !! I have used the other big mover in town ( It starts with a TWO .... ) ALL I CAN SAY IS USE McGUIRES !
AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL!! DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!! Today one of these drivers didn't bother to lock their truck door and left it SWINGING OPEN into the other lane of traffic, ongoing, thru a turn and multiple drivers (who were about to be impacted by both the door and the items about to fall out of the back) waved them down. The assistant had to stop in the middle of the road to fix it! After calling the company, the receptionist put me on hold to have me talk to a dispatcher... I had to call back three times and direct this young person how to do their job and give customer service. Finally got a call back from a second person who was much more professional. Then a call back from the owner who defended his staff. If a company can hire people so unprofessional and careless about EVERYONE's lives and vehicles around them on the roads (about to send moving dolly's thru my windshield with my children in the car), I will never trust them with my possessions. Use at your own risk.
Bottom Line Up Front - Save yourself time and headacheJust schedule your move with McGuire.This is the second time that I have used McGuire to move my office and they just dont disappoint. If you are looking for a company to trust with movers who care, PLEASE use McGuire. In the past have tried two other moving companies in the past who have made me wonder am I just a problem customer when it comes to moving?? After talking with senior management, both experiences with the Other Movers ended with bad feelings and unresolved situations.After two different experiences, over a three-year period with McGuire, I can say with confident that McGuire knows how a move should go and how to take care of a customer. After or during a move I have never needed to talk with Josh but both times he has followed up with me to make sure everything went well and request feedback to improve their service.
