Oh my goodness we called so many different Chinese restaurants for delivery and nobody would deliver to the hotel we were are staying at....except this one! The person answering the phone was amazing and very helpful and courteous amazing!
Fun Chinese place in downtown STL. I'm sure during the weekdays they are a lot busier with the lunch rush, but on Saturday the place was completely empty. We were the only people eating, and it felt a little like the twilight zone. A fully stocked bar and restaurant with no people. I wouldn't recommend physically eating here because of the atmosphere.That said, the staff was super accommodating. Quick food, priced fair. Drenched in sauce.
I can't survive without zhonggou chi. Ordered like 5 things and cane out to only $30. Nice people. Really easy to walk here if you're nearby.
This place is not deserving of 1 and 2 stars like people are giving it. I went in and got their take-out buffet at lunchtime. They give you a Styrofoam box and a Styrofoam cup for soup and you're able to leave with as much as you can fit in both for around $10. It's Chinese food just like at any other city take-out restaurant, and I thought it tasted good.
I went here on a Saturday night at 7, expecting a packed house. Instead it was completely empty. Even the two employees seemed surprised and confused to see me.I asked for an Asahi, which they seemed to struggle for a minute to find before presenting the opened bottle of beer to me warm, foam rising from the top, alongside a glass of ice. And so, too baffled to reject the already opened drink, I had the first beer on ice of my entire life. We got our meals to go just to get away from the eerie atmosphere of the desolate place. The quality of food was decent, but the feeling of unease followed us back to the hotel.
