Per is a nice guy. Locally owned. Hometown feel. Prices are a little higher but the friendliness is worth it.
I'm an out-of-towner that was looking for a liquor store while visiting. This place was small and had very little selection. However, it was the only liquor store within a close distance to where I was and it got the job done. Likely would not return if we visit again. Cashier in the store was very nice, but got a kind of a weird vibe from the place as an out-of-towner. Maybe it's just a local thing?
Patrick's has what you need. Perfect little corner store.
I moved to Dogtown about 6 months ago and was so excited to have a liquor store a block away from my house but every time I go in there I leave disappointed... The first time I went in there I was all smiles and was excited to get to know the person behind the counter cause I figured I would become a friendly face to them. The person was very rude the whole entire time. Another let down was when it was St. Patrick day, I guess on that day they raise there prices 200% and when I bought two 12 packs it cost 55 dollars. And hey I get why they mark up their prices on St Pats day but I was never informed of the mark up until I looked at my credit card bill, I called thinking they charged me wrong and the person on the other side of the phone just instantly laughed at me and said oh yeah we always raise our prices on the holiday. That would have been nice to know before I purchased beer there. The last time I went there is gonna be my last. I went to go get a bottle of wine and the sticker read 10.99. I know this wine well because I always get it at Arena Liquors for 8.99. The fact that it was 2 dollars more is no issue to me I understand they are a little shop and I expect to pay a little more when I go there, but when I went to the register he rang it up at 14.99. I kindly told him that was the wrong price and he snapped at me saying 14.99 is the right price. I am so disappointed
Friendly staff, selection is getting better with more local craft beers...keep adding more local stuff! Always nice to have a corner store that stocks random food items like milk/eggs/frozen pizza in addition to snacks and booze.
